So one day I'm browsing either Goodreads or Amazon, can't remember which and was curious to see if L.A. Fiore had any new books out, being that I was a fan of Beautifully Damaged. If you could of seen my face when I saw that she was writing, not only a followup to BD, but that it was going to be Lucien Black's tale. We meet Lucien in the first novel. I'm sooo glad she gave Lucien a story he was so mysterious and seem to be very guarded with lots of secrets. So the day came that I was finally able to get my hands on the book was truly one of the best days of my life. Freaking loved this book, in ten folds. This book promised me Lucien story with so much more!

Lucien is living his life but not the way he wants. He has been through hardships in his life that has led him into the comfort of a secure and extravagant lifestyle, so to speak. But it means absolutely nothing because the one who captured his heart so many years ago left and a stranded him to figure the world out on his own. What if that one day comes the love of your life happens to wander back in? Would you welcome him or her with open arms or would you vow to make that person suffer every pain you felt when they abandoned you? Lucien is asking himself this very same question, but soon realize he can't give her up or let her go. Especially when you both discovered your undoing was by the hand of someone you least expected...

I gotta say I was blown away by this follow up. It was one of those books where you gave people the stank eye if they interrupted your reading or read at an extremely slow pace because you wanted to savior every moment or word that the author lay out in front of you. Lucien and Darcy story was sad, tragic and beautiful love story. Their history is told through a series of flashbacks both have of each other. You saw how they got to know each other and the way their worlds would of been different if they would of stay together. Secrets, Lies and Deception ruled this book with a big helping of mystery. I love when a story can give you so much more than sex. It tells you a history and gets you so invovled it feels you know every single character by the end of a book. That's how I felt here. What I also loved and adored was that you got to see what was going on with Trace and Ember in this story too. They were the main couple in book 1. They still go through their trust issues and Trace still is self-doubting himself. I wanted to kick him quite a few times. But he was able to pull himself together by the end.

In all this was a great followup and great story over all. I will say if you decide, which you should, read this book make sure you read the updated verison from March 2014. I read the first edition when it came out in 2012. So when I jumped into Beautifully Forgotten, I was kind of lost because the history told in this book was way different in the first edition. At some point I do plan on reading the updated verison along with this book again because it's just that good! I look forward to this author work. She gives me people I care about and hold in my heart forever. Out of a 5 I'm giving this a 5. Well done.

I was eagerly awaiting the release of this book and L.A. Fiore did not disappoint. I just loved every minute, every word and every scene in this book.

It captivated me from the beginning to the end and I just could not put this book down.

Lucian and Darcy….

Their story unfolds in a dramatic and mysterious rollercoaster which has you feeling every single emotion they go through.

Lucian is a successful entrepreneur living the good life. But he has worked hard to be where he is today. His beginnings were not the same. What a rollercoaster ride full of drama, mystery, suspense, passion, lust, love, redemption, heartache, tears and second chances. The twists and turns throughout this story kept me glued to the pages. The more I read, the more I wanted to get to the end and the more I didn’t want it to finish – does that even make sense. I just wanted to keep reading.

I was engrossed in figuring out what was going on. The more you delved into the story, the more you understood where everyone sat within the scheme of the bigger picture. How they were all connected and what they meant to each other. Their lives were all inter-connected in so many ways, full of past secrets.

Lucian and Darcy’s chemistry was on fire. Whether they were fighting or making love. They just sizzled together. From their flashback memories to the current time, each time they were together, it was magic through good and bad. You knew they were meant for each other.

This story had it all…Not just a beautiful romance of two people finding each other again, but everything else in between.

All the secondary characters played a large part in the story line and plot. I loved having Trace and Ember back throughout this story. Trace is always so loving and attentive to Ember.

So many secrets to unfold and I loved every minute of piecing it together. The revelations out of this booked stunned me and had me feeling for every single character and what they meant to each other.

L.A. has a brilliantly flawless writing style where she puts you right there, with her characters which are so thoroughly and expressively developed. Each character came alive through this story.
